VENOM400 2.0TSI EA888 UPGRADED TURBOCHARGER

Description

It is well known and documented that the stock IS38 turbocharger has many flaws and weak components, especially when running stage 1 and 2. The VENOM400 was introduced as a stock size IS38 but with all these weak components being removed and replaced with our well known ball bearing system. This gives piece of mind and is the ideal turbo for anyone who is or wanting to go stage 1 or 2. If your car is already tuned and you dont want to tune it any further then this is 100% plug and play.

  • Starts out as a genuine IS38 turbo
  • ALL standard parts are removed and replaced with ball bearing which is proven to be the most robust design and has being for decades.
  • Teflon insert in the compressor housing is removed, an aluminum insert is welded in place and machined back to stock size.

VENOM460/500 and 550 VAG 2.0TFSI EA888 UPGRADED TURBOCHARGER 

 Description

The ultimate and best refined direct fitment hybrid turbo for the EA888 platform on the planet, designed to run  anything from 460BHP up to 580BHP on 99 Ron fuel depending upon which spec you choose and what boost pressure you decide to run (anything from 1.8-2.2) is advised

Process

Starting out as a GENUINE IHI IS38, this ensures that not only reliability on the housings is guaranteed but the all important A/R as well.

  • The turbo is dismantled and all stock internals are discarded of as this is converted from journal bearing to ball bearing.
  • The turbine housing is CNC machined to take Venoms own custom turbine wheel with the perfect amount of clearance allowing greater air flow.
  • The compressor housing has a teflon insert which can come apart if the turbo is pushed over and above what IHI recommend, this part is removed and an aluminum insert is welded to ensure this doesn’t happen. The compressor housing is then machined precisely to fit the oversized  6/6 or 7/7 (depending upon which spec you order) highly efficient billet compressor wheel specifically designed to run smooth power delivery without running in to compressor surge.
  • The turbine housing is machined to accept Venoms own design 9 blade high flow turbine wheel. Not only is the turbine housing machined but it is machined in a way that produces the perfect amount of flow around the wheel for optimum performance.
  • Bearing housing and seal plate are replaced with a specially designed housing to take the ball bearing cartridge.
  • All journal bearing components are removed and replaced with stock GT28 ball bearing cartridge for increased reliability and a turbo that spools quicker than stock.
  • All separate piece parts are finally balanced separately.
  • The CHRA is built and then balanced to finer tolerances than IHI’s spec upto 130,000rpm.

 These turbos are quite simply the best hybrid turbo for the EA888 that money can buy with proven figures 100s of times over and over again, they are without question, the fastest spooling high powered turbo on the market with high end numbers to compliment this.

 Because of the reliability of this turbo, this will hold up to 2.5bar of boost pressure.
